As the graduate assistant for the ePortfolio Project, I sometimes feel as if I am part of a startup company. We are always developing new ideas, which translate into new projects and thus new skills for me to learn during implementation. During the summer I worked with my department to develop promotional videos for two program offerings for Auburn University students – the workshop series and our ePortfolio Ambassador program. I conceptualized and produced these videos from the interview footage created some time ago by OUW staff. During my editing process I sought feedback from my department, and the final videos are a result of my editing and their advice. I followed Matt Werner’s data-driven advice to keep the videos as close to one minute as possible; this makes it more likely for our audience to watch through the full video.
